Pay Rate:

$106,700 – $130,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

The Finished Products First Line Leader at International Paper’s Riegelwood Mill will be responsible for safety and efficiently utilizing the full potential of operating, maintenance and other support resources, in order to maximize the performance of the Paper Department facility. Along with providing quality, timely, and cost-effective services and products to customers. PL will vary depending upon experience and qualifications.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The Finished Products FLL provides the first level of supervision to hourly employees working rotating shifts in the Finished Products Department
  • Provide leadership on shift in safety, quality and efficient/reliable operations
  • Evaluate employee performance through review of completed work assignments, techniques, and tasks
  • Identify staff development and training needs as well as ensure training is obtained
  • Manage overall operation and crews in order to maximize production, efficiency, and environmental compliance by effective use of resources
  • Coach employees and set expectations in order to accomplish department’s as well as mill wide goals
  • Establish performance measures, monitor inputs/outputs, and implement action plans for optimized production and overall improvement
  • Coordinate activities through scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work crews

 

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

  • Work experience in a Pulp/Paper mill with area process knowledge is highly preferred 
  • High school diploma with equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field preferred
  • Candidates must be able to use strong interpersonal skills to engage hourly personnel and build trust, respect and teamwork with both hourly and salaried personnel
