Environmental Engineer

 

Pay Rate:

$100,000 - $120,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water
  • Assist in overall planning and installation of equipment revision relating to the environment
  • Perform test or experiments requiring the use of non-standard procedures and complex instrumentation 
  • Serve as a liaison between organization and regulatory agencies concerned with environmental controls
  • Laboratory oversight and quality assurance

 

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field
  • 5 or more years of successful environmental, engineering, or operations experience
  • Wastewater treatment plant experience operating experience is preferred

Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products. Our high-quality, superior grade pulps form the basis for diverse applications, ranging from personal care items to specialty materials. We create components for diapers, tissues and feminine care products, as well as sustainable materials for the textile and construction industry. In 2024, IP announced a strategic review of options for the GCF business in keeping with its strategy of focusing on sustainable packaging solutions, which will allow GCF to fully unlock its capabilities to deliver enhanced service and product performance to its customers.
