The Job You Will Perform:
The Journeyman 3 Electrician at our Rome, GA Linerboard Paper Mill will be responsible for performing work in our Instrumentation & Electrical Precision Maintenance Model. The Electrician will earn the respect and confidence of others and accept increasing responsibility for his or her actions and decisions while learning, growing and developing. The role requires engagement in department activities and opportunities with a focus on continual improvement of people, performance, processes, and productivity.
Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Eligible for employment in the US
- At least three (3) years of work experience in electrical and/or instrumentation work
Responsibilities include:
- Install, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair Circuit Protection and Switchgear
- Install, Maintain, Troubleshoot and Repair AC and DC Motors
- Cable and Conduit Installation
- Perform Switch and Control Device Tasks
- Knowledge of Transformers; PM, Testing, Setting operating parameters, maintaining and repairing
- Installation, troubleshooting and maintaining proper functionality of PLCs and Controls
- Competent use of tools of the trade
- Knowledge and use of; Tables, Graphs, Schematics, Isometrics, Manuals and Drawings

Qualifications Include:
Journeyman 3 Qualification in an industrial maintenance role. High School diploma required, Post-Secondary Degree; preferred.
Applicants will be required to complete IPs Journeyman Trade Skill Assessment/Selection process composed of Knowledge and Skills Assessment, Structured Panel Interview and Hands-On Assessment.
