Pay Rate:
$151,000 - $201,500
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Rome Mill is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager, responsible for millwide maintenance execution. The Rome Mill is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two paper machines. The mill includes multiple process lines of wood handling, pulping, power and recovery, finished products, and effluent treatment. The Maintenance Manager will work closely with a variety of different areas and disciplines throughout the mill to achieve business objectives.
The Job You Will Perform:
- Provide leadership and guidance for millwide maintenance operations through effective safe maintenance execution

- Provide career development and recognition for each member of
- Maintenance Execution
- Support and enable precision maintenance execution through systems and standard work processes.
- Understand areas critical to external customer satisfaction and excellence
- Collaborate with all operating units to focus resources on key elements to enable a safe and efficient operation.
- Provide leadership and mentorship for career and positional development of all direct reports and department team members.
- Budget development and execution.
- Provide technical knowledge and support of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Utilize root cause problem solving tools to define and eliminate significant reliability failures and chronic problems.
Knowledge and Skill Level Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of Pulp and Paper industry experience with 5 years in Maintenance Leadership
- Demonstrated history of safety above all else
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to groups and individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership focused on accountability and results.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance functions.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or 20 years of relevant maintenance experience through career progression
- Knowledgeable in the engineering principles and practices applicable to an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of heavy industry best practices
- Comfort with all levels of employees including operators, engineers, contractors, and various levels of management.
