Clamp Truck Operators are required to load, store, transport, and/or deliver roll stock, and miscellaneous items, generate and maintain accurate records; and maintain clean and orderly storage areas and aisles.  Successful candidates must be able to work 2nd or 3rd Shift, Must be willing and able to work daily and weekly overtime, including weekends as business conditions require. At times, employees are required to work overtime without notice. 

 

Primary duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant, including PPE, ZES, PIT/PED safety;
  • Reading factory work orders and various papers to learn customer requirements and processing information;
  • Monitoring clamp truck operation and loading and unloading trailers and/or placing units in storage areas;
  • Checking unit tags to verify that they are correct;
  • Inspecting roll stock during the loading and unloading process to insure that they are free from handling damage
  • Accurately completing tally sheets to record units loaded into trailers;
  • Maintaining well organized paperwork;
  • Generating accurate bills of lading;
  • Delivering product to production areas as required;
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles;
  • Sweeping and cleaning trailers such that only clean trailers are used for our products;
  • Taking and maintaining accurate inventories;
  • Performing receiving duties as needed; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision

 

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

 

  • Demonstrates success in safety, attendance & quality of work;
  • Certified ability to safely operate a fork lift truck;

  • Accurately use and read measuring devices;
  • Knowledge of general computer operation;
  • Ability to learn; follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
