Corrugated Box Manufacturing Facility

 

Pay Rate:

$20.53/Hr-first 90 days only, Then $22.48/hr  

 

 

Category/Shift:  Day Shift

Hourly Full-Time (7AM-7PM, Wk 1 Monday, Wed, Thurs.  Wk 2 Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun)

Orientation/Training Mon-Fri 7am-3pm (First Two Weeks)

The Job You Will Perform:

 

  • Entry Level Converting Dept duties/responsibilities include:

            -  following all safety rules and practices;

            -  learning customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications;

            -  coordinating activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders;

            -  maintaining quality and production standards as required by the company;

            -  performing set up functions as directed by the operator; such as removing and attaching cutting dies, zeroing and opening / closing the machine, raising, autosetting, and lowering the prefeeder, setting the stacker and counter-ejector portions of the machine, recovering ink and washing ink filters, installing inks, cleaning, setting, and adjusting the glue application system, and completing paperwork, while continuously balancing work with the operator;

            -  continually monitoring the quality and quantity of production;

            -  using available time to prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining protection sheets, obtaining and asiding tooling, ink, and other supplies, and tearing apart pallet cards;

            -  performing assigned clean up functions, such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and asiding miscellaneous scrap;

            -  performing minor cutting die repairs;

            -  performing quality inspections and tests, and recording findings;

            -  learning operator duties and responsibilities;

            -  following prescribed practices in all circumstances; and

            -  performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to and required to meet the following:

  • Recommended Status on AON Basic Operation Skills Assessment
  • Prefer Minimum 6 Months experience in a manufacturing type environment.
  • Stable, Verifiable Work History
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as, but not limited to, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and safety toe shoe
