The Job You Will Perform:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and consistently follow safety procedures.
- Work independently with a results-driven approach to achieving goals.
- Plan and execute tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion.
- Continuously seek to improve methods, tools, techniques, and knowledge in all areas of work.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers, management, vendors, and contractors to complete work orders.
- Utilize SAP for creating notifications, ordering parts, and closing work orders.
- Respond promptly to off-shift calls for maintenance emergencies.
- Set up, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and operate various industrial electrical components, including:
- Control relays, contactors, photo eyes, proximity sensors, limit switches, and programmable logic controllers (including their safety-rated counterparts).
- Overloads, circuit breakers, fuses, transformers, GFCI outlets, 3-phase motors, and disconnect switches.
- Variable frequency drives, servo drives, and DC drives.
- Reed switches, latching relays, timers, solenoids, encoders, potentiometers, industrial boiler electronics, proportional valve controllers, E+P transducers, and modular operator control switches (toggle, push button, joystick, etc.).
- Use RSLogix (5, 500, 5000) to make minor programming edits, add ladder logic, and integrate new I/O modules.
- Modify and update HMI panels using Factory Talk Studio by adding buttons and screens.
- Use Drive Explorer/Executive software to trace performance, modify parameters, and monitor I/O.
- Reference technical documents such as datasheets, electrical schematics, and block diagrams for repairs and installations.
- Modify electrical drawings using CAD programs like Draft sight, or markup photos of drawings in MS Visio when CAD models are unavailable.
- Track temporary electrical or pneumatic jumpers and ensure timely removal once repairs are complete.
- Maintain and organize electrical documentation, ensuring schematics are current, easily accessible, and accurately drawn.
- Identify and source part numbers using documentation and create comprehensive parts lists for self-planned projects or repairs.
- Track the arrival of parts, prepare kits, and ensure they are ready for scheduled maintenance.
- Perform physical wiring tasks for machinery and facilities, working with wire sizes up to 8 AWG and limited wiring tasks up to 1/0 AWG.
- Label wiring, terminals, and control panels using printed labels for clarity and consistency.
- Manage wiring neatly and professionally with proper routing and looming techniques.
- Bend, install, and secure rigid conduit ranging from ½” to 1 ¼”, fastening to metal and concrete surfaces.
- Plan and execute complex wire pulls (up to 200 feet), training and coordinating helpers as needed.
- Fabricate mounts for components like sensors, boxes, and devices using tools such as breaks, shears, band saws, drills, taps, grinders, and MIG welders.
- Extract broken bolts and perform thread repairs when required.
- Interpret and understand hydraulic and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic components, including cylinders, valves, boosters, throttles, checks, and motors.
- Service pneumatic friction brakes and clutches.
- Repair and tension roller chains correctly for each application.
- Replace roller bearings and sprockets using pullers, keys, and dimpling for set screws.
- Stitch and replace belts (4 to 15 inches in width) while ensuring proper tensioning and tracking.
- Troubleshoot and repair material-handling roller conveyors.
- Thread and fit pipes for water, steam, and air systems.
- Install and repair hydraulic lines up to 1 inch.
- Perform painting tasks using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment as required.
- Follow 5S best practices to ensure an organized, clean, and efficient workspace.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience as a fulltime Electrician
- Preferred but not required 5 years of maintenance experience in corrugated or manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work alternate shift, weekends and overtime as required
- Electrical Systems Expertise: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, including circuits, wiring, transformers, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of Electrical Codes: Strong understanding of national and local electrical codes to ensure compliance and safety.
- PLC Programming and Troubleshooting: Ability to program, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Motor Controls: Expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining motor control systems, including starters and variable frequency drives.
- Instrumentation Knowledge: Skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating electrical instrumentation systems.
- Wiring and Cabling: Proficiency in handling high-voltage and low-voltage wiring and cable management.
- Testing and Inspection: Experience using testing equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation resistance testers.
- Backup Power Systems: Familiarity with installing and maintaining backup power systems like generators and UPS systems.
- Energy Management Systems: Ability to monitor and maintain energy-efficient systems
