Customer Service Representative

We currently have an opening at our Shakopee, MN location for a Customer Service Representative.    The Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting internal and external customers, with accountability for on time, accurate deliveries, safety and housekeeping, and continuous system and process improvement, while functioning within a team-based environment.  Responsible for quotes, cost estimating, purchasing and order entry with accuracy along with performing a variety of additional activities to facilitate excellent customer relationships while supporting the efforts of manufacturing and shipping operations.   We are looking for a motivated individual who is capable of performing a multitude of functions in a fast paced environment    This position may be a Position Level 2 or Position Level 4 depending on experience and qualifications.

 

Key Functions: 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external customers and vendors, initiates contact with and/or responds to customer inquiries regarding accounts, products or services

  • Initiates orders with the customer or recommends order changes based on account and manufacturing knowledge

  • Coordinates and supports information flow within external and internal business. 

  • Builds or develops order specifications, prices and/or costs, order design

  • Handles multiple tasks simultaneously, using priority management skills

  • Works in a team environment to meet business objectives and goals.

  • Maintains excellent records.  Works with other business team members to reconcile customer accounts, investigates and resolves customer complaints using problem solving techniques and sound judgment.

  • Uses basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets databases and other applications as necessary 

  • Works with and supports the sales functions in the facility in order to achieve overall customer satisfaction

  • Receives and books orders in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assure all details for the proper handling of each order is clearly indicated per guidelines

  • Monitoring the order process to ensure that customer deliveries are made according to commitments and with forecast allocation

  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests

  • Investigate and resolves complaints using problem solving techniques and sound judgment

  • Interacts positively and professionally with customers both internal and external

  • Works with and supports the sales functions in the facility in order to achieve overall customer satisfaction

  • Customer focus, organization, listening skills, positive attitude and desire to succeed are essential

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to perform math functions including working with fractions, manipulating and recording figures to provide accurate quantities, estimating and quotations

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Preferred experience customer service in a corrugated manufacturing environment and/or 2-5 years customer service or business to business inside sales.

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and handling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new operating systems quickly. 

  • Customer focus, well organized, listening skills, positive attitude and desire to succeed are essential.
