Pay Rate:
$23.80
Sign-on Bonus:
$500 after 30 days
$500 after 6 months
Retention Bonus:
$500 after 1 year
Category/Shift:
24/7 manufacturing operation offering seven (7) days off over a fourteen (14) day period. Shift hours 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - OR - 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off). APPLICANTS MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK EITHER SHIFT. You will enjoy a pre-determined schedule with no mandatory overtime, and every other weekend will be a three-day weekend. Voluntary overtime will be available for those who want it.

The Job You Will Perform:
- Following all safety rules and practices.
- Accurately weigh waste bales, and recording bale weights on bale tallies.
- Loading waste bales into rail cars.
- Feeding waste into the shredder/hogger.
- Obtaining waste loads from production areas as directed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized baler room.
- Loading seconds and other non-shredded waste into trucks for shipment.
- Working with returned goods.
- Cleaning the baler and notifying maintenance of problems as necessary.
- Daily cleaning out the overflow box.
- Daily cleaning out the box behind the chute and the area in front of the chute.
- Daily cleaning out the twister / inserter box.
- Daily blowing out the radiator.
- Daily cleaning out behind the ram following safe practices.
- Daily blowing off or vacuuming the baler exterior.
- Daily sweeping the baler room floors.
- Monthly oiling the baler twister and inserter chains.
- Changing the diverter overflow box filters every three months.
- Salvaging materials for protection sheets and other uses.
- Receiving materials and supplies.
- Performing other duties as directed by the Corrugator supervisor.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Operate a forklift
- Perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation.
- The certified ability to safely operate a fork lift truck.
- Ability to accurately use the scale located in the baler room.
- The ability to read, write, and speak English.
- The ability to use basic shop math.
- Accurately read and record figures.
- The ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
