<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Catches and feeds various machines. Operates small hand of power tools. Sets Up, Assembles, fills, cleans or refurbishes, lifts, sorts and stacks wooden/corrugated/foam products such as boxes, packing crates, skids, pallets and various components or subassemblies.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully pass the Basic Industrial Skills Test Battery.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">LANGUAGE SKILLS

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, JSA’s, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, work orders and specification drawings.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to properly use a standard tape measure.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">REASONING ABILITY

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"> 

  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Understanding and following instructions and completing required paperwork.
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Cleaning around work areas.  Clean as you go, clean at the end of the shift.
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Ability to recognize nonconforming material such as damaged or defective items.
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Discards scrap or defective pieces of waste into scrap containers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Ability to read and use a standard tape measure.
  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Inspection of completed work per quality standards. Log inspection to work order if required. Final inspection and tagging of product.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"> 

  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Safe and Proper use of the following equipment:
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Utility Knife.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Banding Tools.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Manual and Electric Pallet Jack.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Assorted glue roll coaters.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Other small hand tools.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Bostitch Hand Stitcher.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Horton Stripper.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Hot Glue Guns.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Other small hand tools.

<span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"> 

  • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Specific Duties include:
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Hand assembling cartons using the HMT Hot Melt Guns
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Adding/Inserting parts to a box
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Applying tape
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Hand assembling Corrugated Pallets
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Effective rotation within jobs of same or lower level.
    • <span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing crates/boxes for re-use.
