Pay Rate:
$82, 500- $124,500
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short–term incentive plan.

A Roll Champion’s responsibility is to be the primary point of contact for roll management. The successful candidate will be tasked with planning roll replacement, acting as a roll advocate in all spaces, but especially between finished products operations and maintenance, and be the primary person managing repair oversight through internal and external vendors. This is position is a Senior Level Reliability Engineer role.
The Job You Will Perform:
- Working safely in an industrial environment
- Execute roll management components of the roll program.
- Manage overall roll program budgets including annual repair expense, annual capital and five-year capital needs.
- Execute roll performance components of the roll program.
- Execute roll maintenance components of the roll program.
- Investigate roll failures and capture roll failure history.
- Execute roll changeout process.
- Execute roll repair and quality control.
- Execute roll return and accrual.
- Ensure adequate spare rolls are available for critical rolls.
The Skills You Will Bring:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred with 5+ years of experience in a maintenance/reliability function. Non-degreed candidates with significant experience in a related function will also be considered. Pulp/Paper mill experience is preferred.
