The Job You Will Perform:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting all training department activities to include but not limited to: implementation, continuous evaluation, and improvement of the employee training program at the facility location. As the primary support for the training program at the Vicksburg Mill, this role will occasionally act as a liaison to department support and work closely with other support functions for data capturing and reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, and based on changing business needs of the company. In addition to the highest ethical standards, this person must also embody IP’s commitment to the following primary responsibilities:
- Assign MyLearning curriculums, e-course, and Instructor Led classes to employees
- Track MyLearning activities and generate reports and Advanced reports from MyLearning
- Mark assignments and activities attended in MyLearning
- Create ILTs in MyLearning for all crew, safety, FLL, vendor, and one off meetings/trainings as a means of training and learning record keeping
- Maintain, update, create items in the C&A Database used to generate tests for Job Certification panels
- Maintain and assign procedures to employees from the AR database
- Maintain/Update material links from source materials on SharePoint to Job Training Curriculums in MyLearning
- Maintain/Update SOP tracker for department when SOPs are reviewed by crews
- Create E-Courses in DominKnow for use in MyLearning
Physical Demands / Working Environment
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
- Occasional standing, pushing, pulling and grasping.
- Frequent filing.
- Frequent reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work.
- Constant sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

Key Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development or other related degree or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in training and development preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work closely and effectively with corporate resource teams
- Willing to travel
- Proficient in computer applications (including SharePoint, LMS, MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Meeting facilitation principles, adult learning theory and techniques and best practices for creating/delivering effective training preferred
- Mill operations, processes, job positions/structure preferred
- Manufacturing Excellence processes and tool understanding preferred
