International Paper’s Richwood, KY Preprint Facility is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Shipping Coordinator for our Mounting / Platemaking department. The successful candidate will produce and mount quality photopolymer printing plates for use in our high volume industrial printing press. This is an air-conditioned, high-tech team environment that offers on-the-job training in our state-of-the-art processes, excellent promotional opportunities and career growth.  Qualified candidates will be highly-motivated individuals that meet the following qualifications:

 

This is a 2nd shift position, 1 PM - 9:30 PM

Starting pay is $16.65/ hour

Full Benefits including Medical, Dental, 401k, Pension, etc.

 

Purpose:       

The Mounter/Platemaker will produce and mount quality photopolymer printing plates.

Organizational Interfaces: 

  • Works in conjunction with all departments within the facility.
  • Responsible safe operation at all levels while on site, as well as team members’ safety.
  • Participation in Safety Committee.
  • Support quality programs and processes.
  • Work in a Team Environment

Responsibilities

General

  1. Create an atmosphere and culture that drives toward an accident free workplace.
  2. Responsible for all paperwork and checklists created in the platemaking/mounting process.
  3. Must be sensitive to all types of waste and minimize the impact of waste in all areas and materials used daily.
  4. Review and understand order instructions and any other necessary paperwork to ensure fully what is required to produce a quality product.
  5. Maintain equipment (perform preventative maintenance as scheduled)
  6. Follows all published Standard Operating Procedures.
  7. Complete daily housekeeping in order to maintain a safe and clean environment / Perform weekly audits as scheduled.
  8. Enter your worked hours daily into a time reporting system.
  9. Special projects as assigned.

 

Required Skills

  1. Understanding of photopolymer printing plates helpful.
  2. Knowledge of the flexographic printing process helpful.
  3. Able to handle multiple projects at one time.
  4. Able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.
  5. Good analytical and decision making skills.
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Good interpersonal skills.
  8. Good organizational skills.
  9. Background in problem solving and continuous improvement.
  10. Basic computer skills. (Microsoft Word and Excel)

 

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Previous printing, platemaking or mounting experience helpful.
