The Job You Will Perform
The MPS Technician is a hands on service role responsible for working on box and tray forming equipment used in the setup of corrugated products. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in dynamic environments. Technician will work directly with customer teams to ensure equipment is functioning optimally, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This customer-facing role demands strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues on-site. The Technician will be expected to travel extensively—up to 75% of the time—to various customer locations, providing prompt and effective service. Success in this role hinges on the ability to troubleshoot complex problems, communicate clearly with customers, and adapt quickly to changing conditions and equipment configurations.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent time management skills, the ability to produce detailed service reports related to specific calls, and a professional demeanor in customer interactions. This is a high-impact role that directly supports customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include:

Providing hands on service for box erector equipment and closing machines for protein customers in the beef/pork sector

Completing quarterly preventative maintenance service

Working with customer maintenance crews to develop a training program and develop a list of preventative maintenance activities and schedules

Creating and fostering long term relationships with customers and their maintenance teams
The Skills You Will Bring:

Three or more years of related experience, preferably in the corrugated packaging industry supporting key customers

A deep understanding of mechanical systems and technical processes

Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

Strong business communication skills

Proactive nature, self-driven, and the ability to work closely with customer teams

Background in mechanical or industrial equipment service is preferred
