Position Title:        Truck Driver 2, Class B, CDL Local (Home Daily!!)


Pay Rate:               $18.98/hr 


Category/Shift:       Must be flexible to work different days, hours and shifts based on business needs. Overtime available after 40 hours

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Must be able to drive a Straight Truck and 26 Ft. Box Truck.  
  • Safely operate a Straight Truck and Box Truck in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (DOT) regulations
  • Complete local deliveries and pickups while providing prompt service to customers on scheduled routes in an error-free manner
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the Straight Truck and Box Truck prior to each trip and at the end of each trip
  • Must be able to check truck’s equipment and supplies to assure road worthiness
  • Completes required routing through the use of all approved transportation vehicles (Straight Truck and Box Truck)
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
  • Must be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs. Must be able to roll carts to truck with a minimum load of 100 lbs.
  • Must be knowledgeable of proper methods of loading and unloading trucks safely, securing loads on trucks
  • Must be able to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, rain, wind, snow, freezing temperatures, hot weather, etc.
  • Must comply with all requirements for safe and legal transportation of hazardous material as applicable
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Work closely with the Dispatcher to determine the best strategies to improve processes
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards, including cleaning and trash removal from cab of truck


The Skills You Will Bring 

  • Valid CDL Class B license required
  • Able to operate a standard transmission
  • Must be 21 years of age (At least 1 year driving experience preferred) 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Clean DMV/MVR record 
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal background check
  • Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and DOT rules and regulations, pass DOT required medical exam
  • Air Brakes Certification

  • Assist and support implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of: OSHA, ergonomics, injury / illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety
  • Support LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators and Global Program Elements
  • Work safely and look out for the safety of those around them
  • Follow Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
