Position Title:

Process Improvement Manager

 

Pay Rate:

$82,500 - $110,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Responsible for process management in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement in the production department, while overseeing the daily routine of producing quality corrugated products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and ongoing functional training of production employees.
  • Maintain daily plant housekeeping standards by assuring the use of established procedures.
  • Maintain high levels of product and service quality in the finishing and shipping departments through actively assisting in the development, implementation, use, auditing, and improvement of standard reliable methods and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to address and resolve quality concerns. Communicate with operations, customers, and sales to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Assist with identifying people needs and issues in the plant and assure effective resolution of identified issues and needs.
  • Utilize employee involvement and empowerment principles to create teamwork and optimize utilization of resources.
  • Participate in the development of capital and project spending plans and activities.
  • Responsible for inventory control and monitoring of stock levels, as well as securing vendors as needed.

  • Five years of operations experience in corrugated manufacturing preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent planning, organizing, time management and delegation skills
