Pay Rate:

$91,500 - $122,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

 

The OMC position exists to coordinate the Operations and Maintenance functions to maximize the effectiveness of Maintenance budgets and the reliability of equipment through leading flawless execution of the Manufacturing Work System (MWS). The OMC position also has a significant impact in closing the realizable gap on the Cost of Unreliability (CoUR) through the reduction in Reliability Recordables and their associated costs.  The OMC will achieve results by driving Reliability Best Practices into the day to day business conducted within the Pulp Mill & Caustic Plant.  Their effectiveness will be measured by both the Mansfield Mill reliability metrics, fiber line availabilities, as well as the price of reliability in his/her area.

 

The OMC will serve as the Reliability Leader for their area by driving efforts to proactively incorporate the following elements into the daily/weekly Business Unit MWS process:  Basic Care, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, RCFA, Precision Maintenance, IEPM, Lubrication, and Facility Preservation.  The OMC will also serve as outage coordinator for his/her area, both routine and annual. The OMC plays a central role in management of maintenance capital in his/her area by serving as Project Originator.  This position reports to the Pulp Area Process Manager (APM).

PL will vary depending upon experience and qualifications.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the principal liaison agent between the Business Unit or Area Process and the Maintenance Department
  • Serve as the Reliability Leader for their area by driving efforts to proactively incorporate the following elements into the daily/weekly Business Unit MWS process:  Checkbook Spending, SAP Notification management, Basic Care, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, RCFA, Precision Maintenance, IEPM
  • Serves as an outage coordinator for the department, both routine and annual
  • Empowers employees and leads the implementation of processes and systems designed to stabilize and improve the manufacturing process
  • Area champion to drive the GMS Reliability/MWS sub-element

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 5-years of pulp and paper experience or bachelors in engineering with at least 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of the Primary Products Department. This includes key understandings of the critical parameters that impact safety, environmental, costs, quality, and customers.
  • Candidate must have basic understanding of how maintenance activities are managed including how work requests are created, planned, scheduled, and executed
