The Job You Will Perform:
- The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for day to day activities regarding facility preservation including:
- Works with process owner to maintain the fire protection system and fire response.
- Recommending, developing and managing facility preservation capital and non-capital projects.
- Ensuring facility preservation inspections and audit processes are in place and effective.
- Implementation of facility preservation best practices.
- Development/maintenance of a documented comprehensive 5-year facility preservation plan.
- Site knowledgeable person for asbestos
- Liaison for on-site maintenance contractor
- Facilities Champion Rel-03
- My Access Coordinator
- Wi-Fi Privileged vendor account
- Serves as Mill Logistics and Scaffolding coordinator for PMO and TMO
- Serves as Parking coordinator during TMO
- Serve as Maintenance UCT Chairman
- Responsible for development of a facility preservation system including expectations, defining responsibilities, implementation of best practices, and facility inspection routes.
- Responsible to develop and execute Capital projects related to Facility Preservation.
- Responsible for management of mill fire protection systems and emergency response within International Paper, Factory Mutual, and applicable Fire codes and policies/procedures.
- Responsible for facility preservation including but not limited to the following elements.
- Roofs – cleaning and maintenance, roof survey, vent fans (not hood exhaust)
- Building structures
- Housekeeping
- Process sewers
- Painting
- Roads and Rail
- HVAC
- Demolition and Abandoned Structures
- Outside Grounds
- Fire Extinguishers, Sprinklers, fire hose stations, smoke detection systems
- Velocity Camera and badging systems
- Crane and hoist champion
- Freeze protection coordinator
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive facility preservation plan including 5-year plan for capital and non-capital facility preservation improvement projects.
- Responsible for SAP master user and training
- Responsible for Planner trainer
- Responsible for MWS Metrics and Business Warehouse reports
Quality Expectations
- Ensure an understanding of quality policy and support efforts for a positive customer experience.
- Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts as needed to help maintain mill quality standards.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Engineering degree preferred. In absence of engineering degree, 10 years of applicable experience in facility preservation activities including familiarity with all mill departments is acceptable.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills; problem solving, negotiation, presentation and training delivery skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project/process improvement and guide team(s) to successful completion of tasks and/or projects.
- Demonstrated ability to set expectations with stretch goals and measure work to determine degree of goal attainment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Successfully completed manufacturing leadership, area manager, or process engineering assignments.

Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products. Our high-quality, superior grade pulps form the basis for diverse applications, ranging from personal care items to specialty materials.
